Pedestrian Tunnels

Application

The primary intent of an underpass is to eliminate at-grade pedestrian congestion for vehicle, and other motor traffic, thereby improving safety at railroad crossings and major intersections. The tunneling method allows the steel casing to be installed without taking mainline track or major roadways out of service.
